Data from any source and in nearly every format is stored at a single and central location, the d.3 archive (central repository), where it is archived for long-term storage and availability.
The digital archive is the basis of efficient document management, because data can only be retrieved at any time and from any location if all data is truly centrally available. For this reason, all information, regardless of the application used to create it, is linked and – in addition – converted to a format such as PDF/A or TIFF, which will still be readable after decades even if the original software used to generate the data is no longer available, not to mention, no longer installed on the PC of the staff member.
To ensure that all legal requirements are complied with, e.g., in the event of digital auditing, d.velop regularly submits its software to renowned business institutions for certification.
So where is all this data stored physically? This is taken care of as well; thanks to our close collaboration with globally leading hardware manufactures in the field of storage solutions, your data is stored securely. Sleepless nights for fear of data loss are a thing of the past.
