Data Privacy Statement
1. General Information
d.velop AG, Schildarpstrasse 6-8, 48712 Gescher, Germany (“we”), takes the protection of your personal data and the legal provisions that serve to ensure this protection very seriously.
This data privacy statement informs you about what data is collected when you visit the www.d-velop.de website and any linked Internet site (“website”); it also explains how we process and use this data and how we ensure the safety of your data connected to the use of our website.
If you have any questions not answered by this data privacy statement, please contact our data privacy officer (email@example.com).
2. Personal Data
Personal data makes it possible to determine the identity of a natural person. This includes a person’s name, date of birth, address, and e-mail address. When you use the website, for instance to conduct research on our products and services, you can generally do so without being required to disclose your partial or full identity to us or any third party.
You are only required to provide personal data when you contact us via this website, for instance to request information or arrange for a meeting. At this point, you, as the person responsible for initiating contact, are requested to disclose personal data to us.
Without knowing about your identity, we would not be able to respond to your query or render the services requested. It is your free choice to contact us via this website on behalf of your company and disclose personal data to us.
3. Data Processed during Website Access
The website is delivered on a specialized computer (“server”) that automatically collects information each time the website is accessed. This data is stored in so-called “log files.” The following information is collected: Browser type and browser version (“user agent”), operating system utilized, address of the Internet site visited prior to accessing our website (“referrer URL”), address of the end device used to access the website (“IP address”) and the access time.
This information is transmitted by your browser unless you configured the browser to suppress the transfer of such information. We are not able to associate the data in the log files that document access to our website with any specific individual visiting the website. Also, this data is not combined with any other data sources.
The website utilizes “cookies.” Cookies are small text-based files we store on your end device via your browser. They serve the purpose of providing you with a better user experience.
The cookies used for this website are short-term cookies that are valid for the duration of the session only (“session cookies”), i.e., they are automatically deleted from your end device once you leave the website. The cookies used for Google Analytics, Google Remarketing and Google Conversion Tracking represent the only exceptions (see below).
The information generated about you while you utilize the website, including your IP address, is transferred and stored to a server operated by Google in the USA. In this context, we make use of the “anonymizeIp()” function to ensure that your IP address is stored by Google in an abbreviated format within the EU/EEA. This abbreviated format makes it impossible to determine/disclose your identity based on the IP address. In exceptional cases, it may happen that your IP address is initially transferred to Google and then anonymized in the USA.
Google will use the information collected on the website to analyze your use of the site, create reports on website utilization and may render additional services to us or third parties connected to the use of this website. Google may disclose this information to third parties where required by U.S. law or if third parties process data on behalf of Google. However, Google will not combine the transferred IP addresses with other data stored at Google.
If you wish to object to the use of data collected via Google, please visit Google at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de and download and install the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics. Please note that you need to reinstall the add-on if you delete the browser cookies on your computer.
This website implements Google Remarketing (http://www.google.de/ads/innovations/remarketing.html), another Google technology. Google Remarketing delivers targeted advertisement to previous visitors of this website on other Internet sites of the Google partner network, to inform you about our current product offering.
Cookies (see above) are used to implement this feature. The cookies make it possible to analze your usage behavior on the website and use this as a basis for delivering ads to you on other websites. The cookies draw on pseudonym data that is not combined with other data about you.
Google Conversion Tracking
This website uses Google Conversion Tracking (https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722022), another Google technology. Google Conversion Tracking draws on Google AdWords (https://www.google.de/adwords/) to store a “conversion cookie” (see above for more information on cookies) on your end device via our website if you reached our site via a Google AdWords advertisement. These cookies are deleted after thirty days and cannot be connected to specific individuals. Each AdWords user receives a unique cookie from Google.
If you visit other websites after the cookie has been installed on your end device, Google and we are informed that somebody clicked the AdWords advertisement and was then redirected to our website.
The information collcted with the cookie serves to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who are part of conversion tracking. AdWords customers, incuding us, can thus learn about the total number of users who clicked their ad and were redirected to a site that utilizes conversion tracking tags. Neither we nor any other AdWords customer receives information that would enable them to identify individual AdWords users.
Processing and Utilization of Personal Data Collected on the Website
We will use your personal data for the sole purpose of processing your request for contact. The same applies to your e-mail address.
In addition, personal data may be stored permanently to meet legal obligations to retain data, for instance as prescribed by tax law etc. After fulfilling the purpose toward which end the data was transferred to us, we will first block this personal data and then automatically delete it as soon as the legal retention period has expired.
Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties
We will not disclose your personal data to third parties. As an exception, we may contact member companies of the d.velop Group or our partner network if we believe they are best qualified to respond to your specific query. If we do so, we will only disclose your name, address, e-mail address and phone number as well as the nature of your request.
In the event that any personal data is transferred to third parties, this is always done in compliance with all applicable legal provisions. The scope of the information transferred is limited to what is absolutely necessary to achieve the purpose for transferring this data.
Processing and Utilization of Personal Data for Advertising Purposes
If applicable, you can agree to our using the personal data you supplied on the website for advertising purposes. Do so by ticking the corresponding checkbox on the contact form or in any other section of the website where you enter personal information to be transferred to us.
Your agreement extends to the companies listed in the agreement statement only, it only applies to the products detailed, and it only involves the means of communication specified in the agreement statement (for instance e-mail and phone). Signing a contract with us is not dependent on whether you permitted the use of personal data for advertising purposes.
You can revoke your consent to the use of personal information for advertising purposes at any time in writing (e.g. via e-mail, fax or mail) or by phone. If you wish to do so, please use the address provided in the Company Information section. You can also request the wording of the agreement statement at any time. Using the same procedure, you can also inform us about your objection to the use of personal data for advertising purposes regardless of whether or not you previously gave your consent.
Irrespective of whether or not you consented, we are permitted to use your e-mail address for advertising purposes. This is contingent on the following conditions: (1) We obtained your e-mail address in the context of rendering a service, (2) the advertising is limited to services that are identical or similar to our offering, (3) you did not object to the use of your e-mail address for advertising purposes, and (4) we clearly informed you about your right to object to further commercial utilization of your address when we collected this information and each time we used the address.
Right of Access to Information
In compliance with the applicable legal provision, we are happy to provide information on your personal data stored in our systems at any time and free of charge. Upon request, we provide this information in electronic format. If you wish to obtain this information, please contact our data privacy officer (firstname.lastname@example.org).
